This peculiar but insanely-functional tent demands an otherworldly landscape to match, and that’s exactly why I retreated into the desert. Wind storms, thick dust, arid conditions, no problem. HeimPlanet tents require only a pump to take form in a matter of seconds, which comes particularly in handy in such harsh conditions. For 16 days alone in the desert, this roomy shelter made me feel right at home amongst the bizarre, challenging, and alien landscapes of Utah. I’m now fairly confident my next stop with HeimPlanet could be the surface of Mars.
