They don’t call it Iceland for nothing. When winter hits this remote country, the dazzling ice caves of Vatnajökull National Park are formed. I got the call from Local Guide to spend a couple days under moody skies, riding in Land Rover Defenders, hiking on glaciers, and exploring the mind-expanding sculptures of winter. What an incredible experience it was to traverse the icy Icelandic landscape with an incredibly fun and knowledgeable team.
